Ariel began his career as a teacher with Chicago Public Schools at Roberto Clemente High School. While attending the University of Illinois at Chicago, he majored in Education and was Co-Captain for the UIC “Flames” baseball team. A native of New York City, he and his parents relocated to Chicago at the age of twelve. Reboyras was sworn in as Alderman of the 30th Ward, City of Chicago, on May 7, 2003.
